The Book Mark

Books that make the grade.

Top Ten for 2105

th

Hard to believe that another year is shortly coming to an end. It was an interesting reading year for me. For the very first time, I actively participated in a reading challenge. Many of the books I read fit into the prescribed categories but many did not. Luckily, everything I read was acknowledged and I’m happy to say I finished in the top three !!!

My year-end round up will be a bit different. I am only listing my Top Ten for 2015. Those I didn’t care for really don’t deserve to be considered “the worst”. This year, I didn’t bother to read any book that was uninteresting, poorly written or simply lousy. I will say this, for every book I did read there were three that I did not…sad but true. So that being said here are the books that I truly enjoyed:

  • The Gates of Evangeline by Hester Young
  • The Seven Sisters – Lucinda Riley
  • The Lavender Garden – Lucinda Riley
  • Firecombe Manor – Kate Riordan
  • The Mapmaker’s Children – Sarah Mc Coy
  • Last Night at the Blue Angel – Rebecca Rotert
  • My Sunshine Away – M. O. Walsh
  • Sinclair’s Suitcase – Louise Walters
  • Twain’s End – Lynn Cullen
  • Circling the Sun – Paula Mc Lain

They have all been reviewed here at The Book Mark. Books make great Christmas presents perhaps you will find something here you’d love to give or get.

I wish you all a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year. I appreciate you following my blog as I review. I look forward to reading and reviewing many books in 2016 and I hope you all continue to follow along.
